Southend Marine Activities Centre
The
Southend Marine Activities Centre stands in a
privileged beachside position on Southend's
Eastern Esplanade. The Centre's programme
includes courses at all levels in: Sailing,
Canoeing, Windsurfing, Powerboat Driving and
Jet skiing. These include; "Try a Sport" taster
sessions, Beginners courses and a wide range of
Improver training through formal courses and
other more informal practice sessions and
expeditions.

Southend Pier
Southend’s
famous landmark – the longest pleasure pier in
the world – stretching 1.33 miles into the
Thames Estuary. Take a ride on one of the unique
Pier Trains to the end and back - or enjoy an
invigorating walk. At Pier Head you can visit
the RNLI station and gift shop and take in the
view from the superb sun deck or even try a spot
of sea fishing (passes available from the
Visitor Information Centre.) Additionally,
elegant pleasure boats as well as impressive
visiting Tall Ships, offer trips at certain
times of the year.
