Blake Hall Gardens & Museum

Blake Hall GardensA fine 17th century house which was used as the World War 2 RAF Operations Centre for Sector E, when the existing facility was bombed out of nearby North Weald. The 'ops' room has been fully restored to produce a unique attraction. The Airscene Museum provides a large amount of additional display material. The gardens of the house are also open to the public.

North Weald Airfield Museum and Memorial

North Weald Airfielf Museum & MemorialNorth Weald Airfield Museum is situated at what was the main entrance of the famous Battle of Britain Fighter base - RAF North Weald, near to the Essex town of Epping and easily accessible from London. Adjacent to the still very active airfield, from which on most summer week-ends visitors may see some of the veteran and classic aircraft based on the airfield, such as; the Spitfire, Mustang, Invader, Vampire, Hunter, Dakotas, Yaks and Jet Provosts, land and take- off.
